Japan to issue digital tokens to pay for clean energy
IIJ intends to use the tokens for the settlement of clean energy certificates.

The DCJPY launch will be organized with the support of the technology team of the DeCurret cryptocurrency exchange, which will provide its own blockchain network for transactions.
The face value of the new environmental tokens will be pegged to the Japanese yen exchange rate.
However, unlike traditional stablecoins, DCJPY will be backed by bank deposits, the developers promise.
Earlier, the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA) proposed amendments to the system of taxation of cryptocompanies for 2024, which will exempt unrealized profits.
